NAVA
Cafe & Restaurant
Soulful dining.
Set among Lokah's nine stays — a cafe and restaurant built around fresh food, thoughtful cooking and the landscape outside.

Nava means nine. It also means new.
Both feel right here.
Nine
For the nine stays Nava sits among — each a private world, cradled in nature.
New
For food prepared fresh, to order, from ingredients grown in our own soil.
Together they form the heart of Nava — soulful eating, experienced through all five senses.
There is no buffet at Nava
Every plate is prepared fresh, to order, by the head chef and his team. The menu brings together both European and Malnad cuisines, creating food that satisfies everybody's tastebuds. We wanted the food to feel rooted in its surroundings while taking a different approach to dining in Chikmagalur.
The space follows the same philosophy
Soulful eating, experienced through all five senses.
Sight
Look up and the Mullayanagiri peaks are there. Beside you, the natural Bio Pool reflects the surroundings.
Smell
Our kitchen window opens onto the dining space, letting the aroma of freshly ground spices drift out to meet the scent of wet earth, wild herbs and the forest beyond.
Touch
Warm timber covers the surfaces, creating a grounding, natural setting that keeps you connected to the landscape as you eat.
Taste
The menu brings together both European and Malnad cuisines, creating food that satisfies everybody's tastebuds — rooted in its surroundings, and a different approach to dining in Chikmagalur.
Hearing
A waterfall in the distance. Birds in conversation. Wind moving through the trees. At Nava, silence is never empty — it is always singing.
Curated by a Michelin-star-trained chef, a first for Chikmagalur.
It is slower, quieter and more personal — quite simply, the way food was always meant to be eaten.
